Portugal is golfer´s paradise, a country where many golf lovers go to all year long to enjoy their favourite pastime. The south of the country, the Algarve, is famous for having my golf courses but you don´t have to go so further down south to enjoy this sport. In the north of the country, in Porto, there are also excellent places to practice your swing.
One of the most famous, oldest and most prestigious ones is Oporto Golf Club, a golf club that has been open for more than 120 years, more specifically since 1890. This club is located south of Porto, in the town of Espinha, some 12 miles away which is approximately a 15-minute drive, so it´s easy to get there.
The course is one of the oldest in Europe and has seen some of the most important players in the world do a round there around its 18 holes.
